Greenbelt Police Chief Jim Craze, Deputy Chief Kemp, Greenbelt CAREs Director Liz Parks, and Admin. Assistant Dana Hill attended the introduction meeting with Autism FYI’s Michelle Reedy, Ret. Sgt. PGPD, Administrator Natasha Seaforth, and COO Joyce Benjamin,RN,PA .
Autism FYI Org is proud to partner with Greenbelt Police Department. GBPD takes National Night Out to another level that AFYI feels will benefit those on the Autism Spectrum. NNO is held in multiple places all over Greenbelt so that more officers get to meet the public. For those on the Autism Spectrum that is important to have a smaller group and chance to meet officers one on one. GBPD is very active in training their officers about Autism Spectrum disorder and how to interact with them. They have requested decals for their officers to make reminders easily accessible. Thank you GBPD for caring. Greenbelt Cares is sent to help with any situation that may require a special hand like Autism Spectrum Disorder or someone with Mental illness or Neurologic Disorders. Liz Parks is someone I ( Joyce ) have known from years ago and look forward to working with her. It was a great meeting. Thank you Chief Craze.
