Public Defenders receive Autism Training
Public Defenders receive training on defending the client with autism spectrum disorder
December was the first time AFYI trained the Public Defenders of Prince George's County. Though our trainers are not lawyers or legal specialists, teaching about the challenges of the client with autism and how their family supports them, provides important information that needs to be conveyed to the judge. We look forward to including the judges and masters in Prince George's County.

We are reaching out to multiple counties and states to help proclaim April the Autism Awareness month. We are also encouraging businesses and governments to choose a Wear Blue Day. We have received multiple acknowledgements and participations in Maryland. AFYI is thrilled that much of Maryland is sensitive, supportive, and anxious to participate to bring more awareness to the Autism Community and how our communities can level the ground for them through training, acceptance, and community action.
