Seat Pleasant Police Department’s acting Chief E.Earl Ivy and Officer Brian Stevens met with Dr. James Benjamin, CEO of Autism FYI and Executive Administrator Natasha Seaforth. After hearing about the National Registry and the many benefits it provides those on the Spectrum as well First Responders, he agreed to partnered with AFYI to bring the program to his PD and his community. He was so excited to hear about it he took Dr. B and Natasha to Seat Pleasant Elementary School where there is enrolled over 100 pupils on the Autism Spectrum. There they met with Dr. Lachonta Richardson, Principal, and Adelaide Blank, Assistant Principal. The two were very enthusiastic about the program and how it can help their students. WE applaud the work they are doing with their large Autism student population and look forward to partnering so together we make the community safer for each other.
